Blendamaze is Back!

Nearly three years ago I had a vision to create fun games for mobile based on ideas that had never been tried before.  This journey began with our first game, Blendamaze, which launched in September 2012.

Remember how the App Store looked in 2012?

Blendamaze App Store

Over the past three years this passion has become a reality.  It is our vision…

Extraordinarily creative apps & games.

Following Blendamaze’s original launch, we’ve built Foresee (coming back soon), har•mo•ny, har•mo•ny 2, Alpha Omega and most recently, har•mo•ny 3.

Still something was missing.

Blendamaze had developed a series of bugs and wasn’t updated for the latest versions of iOS and latest iOS devices.  It felt like we were leaving out this foundational piece to our company – that our product offering was incomplete.  The game needed a major overhaul and that’s what we’ve dedicated a large portion of this year towards.

Reviewing nearly three years of great feedback from our fans has led us to take a hard look at game mechanics and the overall gameplay experience.  I am a firm believer that less is oftentimes so much more and our desire is to bring a beautiful, colorful game to adults and kids alike. Because of this, we’ve removed a number of gameplay elements and overly-complicated levels that only served to get in the way.  Complimentary and Analogous stages are gone as they were just too difficult and this only hurt playability of the game.   All in-app purchases have been removed and there are no ads in the game.

Today Blendamaze returns to the App Store, rebuilt and better than before.  Click or tap here to download now.

Thank you for your support!!

BorderLeap Games

The leap across the border…

After 3 years, 5 games, 1 weather app, balancing 2 full-time jobs, countless 80 hour weeks and more cups of coffee than I can count, I’m happy to say that I have made the leap across the border (pun intended) to making BorderLeap my full-time career.  Actually, the transition took place back in May, but I have not had a place to share the experience and the stories that surrounded it.  That place is now here 🙂

To say that the past three years have been a roller coaster of a ride would be an understatement.  I’ve wanted to create this web site to not only showcase games I’ve built but also share about the processes in designing and developing them.

So without further ado, welcome to the new BorderLeap site!  There will be much more coming…
